The Trust continues to be strengthened with the addition of several new members. Application submitted for Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) status and subsequently withdrawn by the Trust.

Engaged with the Town Champion for Cramlington. Trust actively involved in discussions with local bus companies and the Town’s Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group aimed at improving bus services to/from Cramlington to the existing station and better early/late services to assist shift workers who rely on public transport. Trust web site launched.

Board active in bringing interested parties together to consider a proposal to improve rail services to Cramlington, relocate the railway station and improve bus-rail links to the town. Trust welcomed the Tour of Britain to Cramlington. Trust holds Business Strategy Day.

From 2014 to date the Trust has been an active member of the Cramlington Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group. Board members worked with students at Cramlington Learning Village to design the Trust’s logo and website. Trust was successful in encouraging the Town Council to refurbish the town’s underpasses. Trust proposal for a Town Square was adopted.

The Trust commissioned Kier to prepare designs for Town Square. Carried out public consultation re Town Square.

Trust secured £10k from the ‘Portas fund’ (in relation to ‘Improving High Streets and Town Centres’ ).

Trust was formed and registered as a company (No 7681067) on 23rd June 2011.
